The home of political & business related issues in Northern Ireland, my reason for choosing to model this is that it relates well to business in conjunction with the story the BBC gave us. Since this building is similar to that of other significant buildings across the world such as the white house, it was important to figure out what set it apart. The statue was important in that it holds strong relations to the founding of it. In real life the statue itself is lot further down the road but since this is to be a simplified design I drew it closer to the steps and added a slight indication of where that road begins. The lack of flags I think is great symbolism of a country without govern so i think the two poles were a great addition. Whilst researching more about the building I discovered a few interesting things about it as well, one of them being that they couldn't afford to finish construction, and that they ruined the original stones white coloring when they covered it in black tar during the WW2 blitz.

Below can be seen the original roof design that was to complete the building

To the left you can see the tar covered Stormont Castle after the nazi air raids, to the right of the trolley bus is the statue which give you a better sense of its actual distance from the building
